The Balancing point is sometimes called the Karate point. Its the side of the hand where you would hit with a karate chop.

The ABC of EFT
Here are simple instructions for the Emotional Freedom Techniques tapping routine. EFT is seemingly simple and yet (as with any simple tool) it can be used in basic fashion or more skillfully. This skill is taught in EFT workshops
Ideally you should be introduced to EFT by an EFT Practitioner or Trainer who can answer your questions and guide you to a helpful learning experience. However if you would like to try out EFT for yourself then read the ABC instructions below. Remember that though gentle, EFT is still in the experimental stage and you need to take full responsibility for yourself when trying it out.
In the photos June shows you the Tapping points. Click on Downloads and we will email you the ABC on a page.

A is for Awareness
Notice what bothers you. What ache, pain, memory, thought or feeling. Find a small chunk of the problem and describe it specicially with a short phrase and measure its intensity on a scale of 0 to 10.
|
|
B is for Balancing
Tap on the site of your hand as in the photo whist you repeat three times "even though...(the words from step A)...I accept myself anyway"
|
 |
C is for Clearing
Tap on each of the points shown by June in the photos below and keep yourself tuned into the problem or feeling by repeating the descriptive phrase from step A (take off the "even though" )
|
|

C is for Clearing
Tap each point about six times. It does not matter which hand you use or which side of the body you tap on. Tap at the pace that feels right for you. |

Now... Take a good breath. Go back to stage A. Notice again that ache, pain, thought or feeling. Is it different in some way? Find some new words to describe how it is now.
Step D is for Do it Again so repeat the ABC tapping with the new phrase. Continue in this way through each aspect of the problem.
Some people get great results using EFT on their own. Others of us need to tap with another human being. This is why its good to learn EFT in a group, with an experienced practitioner or at a workshop.
Happy Tapping!
